Privacy policy

This policy explains what information ClearSpeak Financial Consulting, LLC (“ClearSpeak”, “I”, “me”) collects through clearspeakfinancial.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. ClearSpeak is a one-person consultancy based in Vancouver, Washington, run by Cas Schoenwald, CPA.
The short version
- If you send a message, I use your details to reply to you. That’s it.
- Analytics and advertising cookies only load if you choose Accept. If you decline, none of them load.
- I don’t sell your personal information.
- This website has no client logins and doesn’t accept file uploads. Client documents are exchanged through Microsoft 365, not this site.
Information you give me
Contact form. When you use the contact form, I collect your name, email address, organization (if you give it), the topic you choose and your message. The form is delivered to my email inbox through Resend, an email delivery service. To keep out spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a bot, is submitting it.
Booking a call. If you book a discovery call through the scheduling link on this site, the scheduling service collects the details you enter (such as your name, email and preferred time) and shares them with me so we can meet. That service’s own privacy policy also applies.
Email and phone. If you email or call me directly, I receive whatever information you choose to share.
Information collected automatically
This site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The site itself doesn’t set cookies for this.
Analytics and advertising cookies (only with your consent)
With your permission, this site uses the following tools, all loaded through Google Tag Manager. Until you choose Accept in the cookie banner, Google Tag Manager and these tools don’t load at all.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google): which pages are visited and how people find the site.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft): how visitors use pages, including heatmaps and session recordings, to improve the site.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn): aggregated insights about the industries and job titles of visitors, and measurement of LinkedIn posts and ads.
You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, these tools stop loading and their cookies on this site are removed.
How I use information

- With your consent, to understand how the site is used and improve it
- To keep the site secure and comply with legal obligations
Who I share it with
I share information only with the service providers that run the site and its features (Cloudflare, Resend, the scheduling service and, if you consent, Google, Microsoft and LinkedIn), or when the law requires it. I don’t sell or rent your personal information.
How long I keep it
Messages are kept in my email for as long as needed to correspond with you and to keep ordinary business records. Analytics data is kept according to each tool’s retention settings.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information I hold about you by emailing Cas@clearspeakfinancial.com. You can decline or withdraw analytics consent at any time with “Cookie settings”, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Children
This site is meant for organizations and professionals. It isn’t directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.
